Background and Research Interests 

My doctoral and postdoctoral training is in Clinical Psychology and Aging. My research interests focus on the diagnosis and treatment of psychopathology in later life.  Specifically, I focus on the grief, depression, and psychological responses to uncontrollable stress in later life.  Since coming to Holy Cross, I have studied religious involvement and mental health funded by a grant from the National Institute of Aging.  See Brief CV.
