A main goal of the course is to help you develop skills in critically evaluating theory and research in aging. In particular, we will focus on many prominent scientific, clinical, and public policy issues in the field. For example, we will examine basic processes of physiological and cognitive aging, assessment and treatment of depression, memory impairments, and dementia, and ethical and scientific issues pertaining to health care allocation and euthanasia.
