Welcome to the Women’s Health and Mental
Health Seminar. This seminar will focus on psychosocial and behavioral
factors and issues in women’s health and mental health. Discussion
will focus on women’s roles in the practice of health care delivery-- as
providers, as consumers, as patients, as parents, and as research participants.

some of you will have the opportunity to integrate a hands-on clinical/community

Participation Description:
Grading of participation is difficult.
Participation in the seminar and taking personal "ownership" of your work
at your internship site is very important as many of you will be given
responsibilities that involve "real" people who live in the Worcester community.
Active participation in this practicum seminar includes the following:
1. Each week 1-2 students are asked to
discuss some aspect of their internship or reading experience(s);
2. Each week 2 students are asked to bring
5-6 important questions/points from the assigned reading(s) and to assist
in leading the seminar discussion;
3. Responsible participation at your internship,
if applicable;
4. Contributing to seminar discussions
throughout the semester.
