Shakespeare
Resources
There are numerous web resources devoted to Shakespeare, but let me direct you to a few of my favorites, rated 1-4 stars. The single most inclusive site for Shakespeare studies, one which will direct you to many other sites, is Mr. Wm. Shakespeare. Compiled by Terry Gray, this site will lead you to historical information on the period, discussions of the plays, biographical material, on-line texts, search engines and much more. Enjoy! Go to: http://shakespeare.palomar.edu Those
of you interested in staging Shakespeare and considering the director's
point of view will find Ed Isser's extraordinary "interactive site" fascinating.
Professor Isser has created the site using his own productions of Measure
for Measure and All's Well That Ends Well. Go to:
The M.I.T Complete Works of William Shakespeare will allow you to read or download any of Shakespeare's plays without violating copywright. The text is a genric one, so beware of editorial decisions. This site is especially good, however, if you wish to generate a "Large Print" edition for your own or another's use. Go to: http://tech-two.mit.edu/Shakespeare/works.html
