Advanced Analytical Methods in
Art, Archeology and Forensics

Course Syllabus

This course focuses instrumental methods used in the fields of art, archeology and forensics. While our primary focus is on instrumentation and analytical chemistry, we are interested in understanding the major problems faced by scholars in other fields and how advanced instrumental methods might help adress important questions.

The goals of this course include:
1. Gaining technical familiarity with advanced analytical methods of analysis.
2. Becoming comfortable reading and critiquing cutting-edge, peer reviewed literature articles.
3. Evaluating and choosing between competing methods to address a single analytical question.
