Biology of Consciousness Seminar

The focus of this seminar is to read and discuss recent work on how consciousness and the self emerge from the functioning brain. In the recent decades with advances in technology, great strides have been made in understanding neural function and its relation to behavior. All this progress has left the field prone to get perspective on how biological tissue can give rise to a conscious mind as well as how deterministic biological machinery can give rise to apparent free will.
