The Junior Faculty Roundtable on Teaching is comprised of tenure-track and non-tenure-track junior faculty, drawn from an array of disciplines. It provides a supportive, non-evaluative, and multidisciplinary setting for faculty to explore their teaching practices and methods and to reflect upon themselves and their professional aspirations and upon the relation of their teaching to the mission of the college. The topics discussed include strategies for engaging students more fully and thoughtfully, the meaning of authority and how it is exercised in the classroom, and the dynamics of teacher-student relationships.
