Senior Pre-Med
Roundtable/Workshop
Writing
an autobiographical essay is a crucial part of the credential
review process for students being reviewed by the Premedical/Predental
Committee and as part of the medical, dental and veterinary
school application process. Four Holy Cross alumni at various
stages in their medical and/or dental careers join the students
planning to apply to talk about what they wrote about on
their essays, what they learned since then about their vocations
as physicians, and what they would write about themselves
today if they were applying. Roundtable follow-up discussion
will center on students' thoughts for their own essays. 8:30
- 11:00 AM, Rehm Library.
April 24, 2002 at 4pm - Lecture by Dr.
Joseph E. Murray '40, who won the 1990
Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his pioneering
work on kidney transplantation, having performed
the first human kidney transplant in 1954.
