Religious Narratives in Word and Image
INTERFACES invites essays for an issue devoted to the roles played by narratives in religious traditions. Proposals may address themselves to narratives presented either verbally or visually. Those which address narratives that are presented in both media are especially welcome. The issue will concern itself with the distinctive functions of narratives and the need within traditions for certain basic narratives to be re-told. Essays may focus upon narratives from any major religious tradition.
INTERFACES is a bilingual French/English journal published jointly by Université Paris 7 and the College of the Holy Cross. It is committed to publishing illustrative images. Issues typically include a CD with supplemental images and/or video. The journal is recognized by the CNRS.
While manuscripts will not normally exceed 15 pages of the journal (about 30,000 signs and spaces), proposals for longer essays will be considered.
