Mandalas: Circles of Compassion

Overview: Reflection is an important aspect of change. Impermanence has value.
Warm up: Show videos of Tibet Song, Tibetan monks sand mandala

Objective:
Students will learn about Mandalas, their use, and their place in art.

Age level - middle or high school

Time required: One Day

Reflection: Write a compassion based intention. It can be as simple as “I will be kind to my sister today”, or as complex as setting up a “no swearing” coin jar at home.
