The Executive
Secretary is the only first-year
student who gets to serve on the Cabinet.
Charged with a variety of tasks, the Executive
Secretary is required to organize and prepare
all General Assembly meetings, keep all
minutes, records and files for SGA, act
as a voting student representative to the
faculty assembly, and serve as a member
of the committee on College Governance.
The Executive Secretary gets an inside look
and jump start on the entire functioning
of the Student Government Association.
2005-2006 Executive Secretary: Lexie Winslow
 Lexie Winslow is a freshman from Massachusetts. She attended Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire for four years, where she held a cabinet position in student government and headed several community service organizations. Lexie is an English major, and is also studying Chinese and participating in the First-Year Program. Her hobbies include creative writing, playing the guitar, reading novels and listening to music.
In the past, the Executive Secretary position
has proven to lead to higher ranking positions.
In 1999 - 2000, Matthew Hayes '03 served
as Executive Secretary and moved onto Treasurer
in 2001 - 2002. In 2000 - 2001, Nicole Mortorano
'04 served as the Executive Secretary as
well and went on to become the Director
of Diversity and then Co-Chair. In 2001
- 2002, Kevin Gallagher '05 served as the
Executive Secretary and become CO-Chair
with Nicole in 2003- 2004 and now Kevin
will be serving a second term as CO-Chair
in 2004 - 2005. In the academic year 2002
- 2003, Ali Rose served as the Executive
Secretary and become the Director of Student
Services the following year. In her position
as Director of Student Services, Ali Rose
managed to expand all students' meal plans
to include Coolbeans. In 2003 - 2004, Kerry
Anne Hoffman served as the Executive Secretary,
starting the SGA Newsletter. Last year she
served as the Assistant Chief of Staff for
this 2004- 2005 academic year. This year
she serves as the SGA Co-Chair.
Steven Hickey who was the Executive Secretary for 2004 - 2005 is now the Chief of Staff.
