Student Life

History

The SGA Constitution was first adopted on April 17, 2000 to create the underpinnings of government here at Holy Cross. The Constitution serves as the framework upon which student government operates. It does not operate in the minutiae of daily operations. Instead, it focuses on the broader structure of government.

The SGA Bylaws are a more free-form document that operates solely at the discretion of the Senate. The bylaws can be modified at any time by a majority of the Senate. While the Constitution deals with structure, the Bylaws focus on operation. More detailed rules and operational standards are included in the document.
