The Director of
Student Services is ultimately
responsible for all SGA initiatives in the
area of student services and auxiliary services.
He/She works closely with the Director of
Auxiliary Services as well as other administrators
charged with handling areas of student services.
Some areas of responsibility include dining
services, meal plans, the Hogan Campus Center,
the Hart Center, the Fieldhouse, and Physical
Plant. The Director of Student Services
will be expected to work toward expanding
the Cool Beans meal plan option and to serve
as the SGA representative to the Hogan staff
meetings. The Director of Student Services
also serves as Chair of the SGA Committee
on Student Services.
For
the academic year 2005 - 2006, Allison Rose ‘06 is the Director of Student Services:
I'm continuing to make improvements to the meal plan, and will be publicizing the new addition of Late Night Crossroads. We also hope to get the Crusader Discount Card passed soon, allowing discounted prices at local Worcester businesses. Pending the success of the coffee cart in Swords, we might look into adding another in Stein. I also look forward to gaugeing student responses to the renovations in Hogan 1 and lower Kimball. I'm a member of the Purple Key Society, and avid intramural basketball player. I'm a retired Crusader Sports Writer as well as Executive Secretary and Director of Student Services. I also work at Campion House.
If you are interested
in becoming a member of the Committee on
Student Services, feel free to contact Alyssa

The previous Directors of Student Services
have been extremely successful. In 2002
- 2003, Sarah Studley '04 gained steps in
establishing the position of Director of
Student Services. In 2003 - 2004, Ali Rose
'06 changed the face of Coolbeans as she
successfully worked out an agreement with
Auxillary Services to add Coolbeans to the
mealplan. Before becoming Co-Chair, John
"Southie" O'Donnell '04 was the
Director of Student Services for the 2001
- 2002 academic year.
