SGA Treasurer

The SGA Treasurer is ultimately responsible for all SGA finances. Every year, seven Student Budget Committee (SBC) members are elected campus wide, 3 for two-year terms and 4 for one-year terms. Amongst themselves, the SBC members elect their Chair who also becomes the SGA Treasurer for the following academic year. The Treasurer is required to maintain all SGA accounts, sign off on all monetary transactions, and in charge of the Financial Liason Program.

2005-2006 SGA Treasurer - Nick (Pistol) Buonome:

During his sophomore year, Pistol joined the SGA as one of three student body members of the Finance and Planning Council, a council that reviews the college’s budget model and makes recommendations to College President. In his junior year, Nick became the acting Treasurer of the SGA, assuming responsibility for all SGA finances. During his time as Treasurer, Nick directed the Financial Liaison Program, sat on the Reserve Board, and helped work on creating the SGA Audit Committee. He also worked for SGA services driving the van shuttles on weekends, gaining recognition around campus as the SGA “Van Man”.

Outside of SGA, Pistol is a Senior Economics major in the Economics honors program. As a freshman, Nick devoted much of his time to athletics, as a member of the Holy Cross Varsity Football team. Currently, Nick is the Chair of the Economics Student Advisory Committee. In addition, Nick is a member of S.A.D.E.R., as the director of the Off-Campus Student Union, a group that looks to develop positive external relations with HC’s surrounding community. Nick works at the Millard art lab as an IT, monitoring the computer lab and assisting students with computer problems. Nick was a native of Clark his freshman and sophomore year, but now lives off campus.

The previous SGA Treasurers have included Erin Robert '06 who served for 2004-2005, William O'Neil '04 who served during the 2003 - 2004 academic year, Chad Stimmler '03 who served the 2002 - 2003 academic year, and Matthew Hayes '03 for the 2001 - 2002 academic year.
