Philosophy and Economics
major
Last
year, Alex was a Senator for the class of 2009 and he
served on the Senate Auditing Committee, Senate
Budgeting Committee, and Senate Executive Committee.
For the 2008-2009 academic year Alex will be Chief of
Staff. In this new role, Alex is looking forward to a
productive year working closely with the entire Cabinet
as well as Co-Presidents Ed Mullaney and Kelly DiMascio. |

Economics and Accounting
major
Keith
is a member of the Men's Varsity soccer team and also
served as the SGA Director of
Student Athletics last year. He is looking forward to
another great year serving on the SGA Cabinet. We have
some very experienced members and some new fresh faces
to mix things up. He is excited to manage the funds of
SGA and sustain our prior initiatives and support the
funding of new ones. |

Jenna
is very excited to serve as this year's Assistant Chief
of Staff. Last year, Jenna was the Executive Secretary,
and her wonderful experience spawned her desire to be
actively involved in SGA once again. Besides SGA, she is a
Summer, Fall, and Extended Orientation Leader, and has
loved helping the Class of 2012 fully matriculate into
the Holy Cross community. In addition, Jenna is a
Psychology major with a Pre-Med concentration. When she
has a free moment, she enjoys eating chocolate chip
cookies, watching Project Runway, and spending time with
her friends. |

Caroline Trainor is a
current sophomore from Beverly, Massachusetts. She
is new to SGA and is very excited to be serving as the
Co-Director of Communications with Julia Cambria. She is
also a general member of Operation Smile and an
admissions ambassador for Holy Cross. During her
summers, Caroline is a lifeguard at her hometown beaches
and enjoys saving the lives of her fellow citizens (dogs
and ducks included) while working on her tan. |

Julia Cambria is a current
sophomore and will be serving as co-director of
Communications with Caroline Trainor for the upcoming
year. Julia is an active member of the SPUD program, and
is also co-chair of Operation Smile, a new club on
campus, as well as a member for the Girl’s Club Lacrosse
Team. She spent the past two summers working at Mass
General Hospital working in the main operating room and
hopes to pursue a career in Nursing. Julia looks forward
to working with SGA as well as faculty members to better
the communication here on campus. |

Italian major
Kevin will be Director of
SGA Services for the 2008-2009 Academic Year. He is a
member of the Holy Cross Men’s Varsity Tennis Team and
the Men’s Club Volleyball Team. Kevin is also involved
as an Orientation Leader with both the Summer and Fall
Gateways Orientation Program. When Kevin decides to take
a second and relax he enjoys hanging out with his
friends in Cool Beans or just taking a well-deserved
nap! As the new Director of SGA Services, he is looking
forward to working with the many wonderful students and
staff at Holy Cross and to listen to student’s feedback
in order to enhance their college experiences. |

Eric is 20 years old, born
and raised in the Bronx, NY. He graduated from Fordham
Prepatory School in the Bronx, class of 2006. He is
involved in SGA, a second year resident assistant in
Mulledy residence hall, a second year Kimball captain, a
writer's work shop tutor, BSU general member, and LASO
general member. He enjoys working out at the gym,
sports, and videogames. He is interested in pursuing a
career in law and wishes to teach at a high school level
or above sometime in his life. |

Biology
major / Biochemistry
Jessica will be serving as
the Director of Student Services for the '08-'09 school
year. This will be her third year on the cabinet, as
she has served as Director of Publicity for the past two
years. She is a senior biology major in the
biochemistry concentration who hails from Long Island,
New York. Aside from the SGA, Jessica is involved in
the Appalachia Service Program, tour guides, and Science
Ambassadors. She is usually locked in her micro lab in
O'Neil but when she gets the chance to escape, she finds
time to watch "The Office", indulge in dark chocolate
M&Ms, and make pub appearances. |

Studies
major
Caitlin is a sophomore
Religious Studies major with a Peace and Conflicts
concentration. She is from Chicago, and joins SGA for
the first time this year. Caitlin manages for the men’s
basketball team and volunteers for SPUD. Caitlin is a
huge sports fan and is full of spirit. Her passion for
sports will be a constant motivation to promote Crusader
spirit and create a rowdy campus. GO SADERS!! |

major / Women's and Gender Studies
Molly is very excited to
work on some new programs to improve student health and
safety at Holy Cross this year. Aside from being on SGA,
Molly is a number one fan of the Arrupe Immersion
Program and the Appalachia Program. After traveling to
Tanzania, Africa in May 2008, Molly became inspired to
enhance the health of those on this campus and around
the world. She is especially interested in women’s
health. Making a surprising change from being a gymnast
all her life, Molly now plays on the women’s rugby
team. Molly will also be a senior interviewer this
year, and is involved in SPUD. She is looking forward
to working with students and administrators to better
address health and safety concerns at Holy Cross, and
always welcomes suggestions! |

major
Bridget is a senior math
major from Cincinnati, OH and this year's Director of
Academic Concerns. She spent her junior year abroad at
St. Andrews in Scotland, where she earned a place on the
women's cricket team. Outside of SGA, Bridget is
involved in Summer and Fall Gateways, as well as the
Spring Break and Arrupe Immersion Programs through
Campion House. Other interests include Diet Coke,
Chipotle, music from the boy band genre, and any movie
featuring Leonardo DiCaprio. |

Dickinson,

Political
Science & Sociology and Anthropology major
Jerry is a senior at HC and
currently the Director of Student Life and also captain
of the Men's soccer team. He has been involved in SGA
for two years, working as the Director of Diversity last
year. Much of his work is imbedded in social justice,
policy, and administration on campus. As Director of
Student life, he will be working towards creating a
comfortable environment for students, including dorm
accessibility, parking convenience, and a meal plan
value. At the same time, he will be conscious of
supporting and servicing students from all backgrounds
on campus. He will be deliberating frequently with Dean
Peterson, Dean Goodwin, and Chuck Stanley to create
ideas and proposals for how to better engage students
and student life activities. He is excited about this
upcoming academic year and looks forward to working with
this excellent SGA cabinet. |

History
major
Christine Giamattei will be the SGA Director of
Programming for 2008-2009. She was appointed Secretary
two years ago and Assistant Director of Student Life
last year, and has been on a number of committees,
including Faculty Assembly, Student Life Council, and
Mission & Identity. She is very excited to continue her
SGA experience in this new position, and to coordinate
all major events and programs. This past summer, she
interned with Starwood Hotels and Resorts in the Sales
and Marketing department in NYC, and is participating in
the Washington, DC Semester Program this fall. She is
also a member of the Pre-Business Program, History SAC,
and Admissions Program. Christine enjoys spending time
with family and friends, summertime, and traveling. |

Lauren Brais will serve as
the assitant director of programming. As a freshman, she
served as the intern to the Director of Programming. In
addition, she was a hall representative for the
Hanselman House Council. She also volunteered at a
Worcester Daycare, part of the SPUD program. She
assisted with the yearbook and volunteered as an
admissions host. This year she will be a resident
assistant in Wheeler Hall. Last summer, she worked with
children as a teacher at a daycare. |

Melissa Ogonowski,

major / Environmental Studies
Melissa continues as the
director for environmental concerns for the 2008-09
academic year. Through this position, she is pursuing
the implementation of a wind turbine on campus, working
with the regional environmental council of Worcester on
various projects, and assisting the college in
developing strategys for a greener campus community.
Besides SGA, Melissa stays involved through transfer to
transfer and class council. She is a political science
major with an environmental studies concentration and is
looking froward to a great senior year. |

Matthew
Broggini is a senior at Holy Cross and the SGA's
Director of Community Relations. In addition to working
on the Worcester Intercollegiate Government through the
Consortium, he works with business and political leaders
in Worcester to help improve the connection between the
college and city communities. A political science major
from Connecticut, he kind of studied abroad, works in
the Music Library and Hogan, and plays piano in the band
Base of Ace. |

Kay O'Rourke,

Spanish
major
Kay is currently a Freshman from Brewster,
New York. She is a Spanish major, but is
also interested in Political Science and
Anthropology. Having danced for the past
fifteen years, Kay has also become a member
of the Fusion Hip Hop Dance Team. She loves
fashion and traveling, and would like to
potentially pursue a career in international
business or law. She also enjoys playing
tennis and golf, going to the beach,
spending time in New York City, and hanging
out with family and friends. Kay was very
involved in student government throughout
high school and is looking forward to
continuing that experience this year as
Executive Secretary of SGA, here at Holy
Cross.
