About Us

Who We Are

Formed in 1845, we are the oldest continually running student organization on campus today. We first began performing at football games in 1910, and since then our role has expanded significantly.

We are a cross-section of students who have immense school spirit and a strong camaraderie, and we're always looking for others with a shared interest in Purple Pride.We currently have members from all classes, musical backgrounds, and academic disciplines. With such a variety, you'll surely find their niche within the HCGTMB!

During the fall, the Holy Cross Crusader "Goodtime" Marching Band practices during the week and performs at all home football games as well as select away games.

During the spring, many of the marching bandos trade in their uniforms for striped rugby shirts and transform into the Holy Cross Crusader "Goodtime" Pep Band. The band attends the basketball games and select hockey games played at Holy Cross. With any luck, the teams make it to the NCAA tournament and the band goes too! The band has travelled along with the sports teams to such locations as St. Louis, Indianapolis, College Park, MD, Columbus, OH, Washington DC, West Point, and Raleigh, NC.

Recently, the Band has been parading the streets of Massachusetts in Halloween, Christmas and St. Patrick's Day parades, as well.
