What type of band program were you in during high school? "My high school had a good concert band and an excellent jazz band. We always did well at competitions in the area, and there were some very solid players. There was no football team at my school, though, so we didn't march more than once a year, at Memorial Day parades. Nobody in the band really liked marching at all. When I came to Holy Cross and saw that there was no concert band, just a marching band, I considered not joining at all."
What is your favorite thing about Marching/Pep here at Holy Cross? "Without a doubt the best thing about the HCGTMB(&PB) is the people. From the second day of my freshman year, I was welcomed as if I were already a part of the HCGTMB family. Within a week or two, I was able to wave at upperclassmen all over campus, and it made me feel really cool. Even now, almost a year later, most of my good friends are band members."
