Black Student Union (BSU)

The Black Student Union's principle objective is to promote a sense of unity among the black community at Holy Cross. Designed as a support group, this organization works to help black students develop and expand their potential.

The BSU is also concerned with promoting a stronger relationship with the Holy Cross community through such activities as: New-Student Weekend, a time when applicants of African descent to the College are invited to experience college life, BSU sponsored panel discussions concerning African-American existence on campus, extensive involvement with events sponsored by African and other Holy Cross organizations, and African-American Experience Week, designed to diversify the Holy Cross community.

The week consists of well-known speakers, dramatic presentations, films, and various other events which help to unite the black community as well as educate Holy Cross to the richness that is Black culture.
