As the major
programming board at Holy Cross, the
Campus Activities Board (CAB) has an enormous responsibility
to the entire campus in that we plan events
and gatherings that appeal to the entire
campus population, providing an alternative
social outlet for Holy Cross students. In
staying true to this mission, CAB is
dedicated to bringing you the best
programming to the Holy Cross community,
serving as your "social ride" on campus.
CAB is a
student-run organization comprised of
nineteen Co-Chairs of nine
committees. Each committee is responsible
for an area of programming or publicity that
is integral to CAB's mission and goals. The
success of each individual committee is
contributed to the involvement of committee
members. Holy Cross students are encouraged
to participate as committee members since
they are the key to CAB's success.
Traditionally,
CAB plans entertaining and engaging
events for the entire campus on Friday
nights, but has since expanded its
programming throughout the week as well. In
addition to planning musical, comedic and
novelty acts, CAB is known for
organizing the popular Tuesday night 10
Spot in Crossroads and monthly Life
101 series that give professors the
chance to speak about engaging topics that
appeal to students outside of the classroom.
In addition, CAB also organizes many
trips that allow students to get off the
hill and go to places like Boston sports
games, apple orchards as well as concerts
and comedy shows. Most notably, CAB's
signature events fall towards the end of the
academic year with the kick-off of Spring
Carnival and Spring Concert during Spring
Weekend. |
