Founded
the Spring of 2003, The Holy Cross Light Opera Company seeks to bring quality
musicals to the Holy Cross community. The organization is student-run and
unaffiliated with any particular academic department. The organization will
create one production each year. The goal is to achieve a very high-level
presentation of a major work of musical theatre annually. The Holy Cross Light
Opera
Company is committed to furthering student knowledge of the musicaland
technical aspects of theatre production, providing opportunites for students
to interact with professionals hired in positions such as director, musician,
choreographer, and various technicians. Thus, the annually produced musical
will result in an enjoyable learning experience for Light Opera company members
and the community at large.
