Rally Against Hate Crimes: Where is the Love?
A member of the MIX eboard had initiated and helped coordinate Holy Cross's second hate rally titled "Where is the Love?" on Wednesday, March 31st. The rally was held in protest to homophobic hate crimes that had been directed to a openly gay student. The rally attracted over 200 people and incorporated a diverse range of faculty, administration, and students. The all-female accapella group, the Delilahs opened with the song "we shall overcome," and was followed by speeches from Gideon Akande '06, Rashaunda Tyson '04, Prof. Carbine, Alex Cunningham '05, and other members of the Holy Cross community.
