About Us Call sign: WCHC Frequency: 88.1-FM City of Licence: Worcester, MA College of the Holy Cross WCHC has been broadcasting since Decmber 6, 1948. We are the strongest college station in Worcester with a signal that covers a radius of approximately 15 miles. We broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week on the air and via the web. Student and faculty deejays occupy air time during the school year between 8am and 2am every day. As a college station, we have the benefit of financial independence. Therefore we are able to bring you commercial free broadcast of a wide variety of music. Due to the various backgrounds that each of our deejays come from, you can expect to hear any type of music on WCHC. We do not play what other radio stations play. We pride ourselves in our ability to expand our listeners' musical horizons through our eclectic mix of music and quality programming.
