Question of the Month

"My Montserrat course, Memory Wars, where we focused on World War II and Vietnam. We focused on how these wars were memorialized into our national conscience. Our final project involved creating a 9/11 memorial, as it would be at the site of the World Trade Center. We had to defend [our design] in front of our class, taking into consideration all the materials we used, where we would put the remains, how green it would be, etc."

"Politics in the Middle East with Professor Vickie Langohr. It was during the Arab Spring, and she is an expert on the material, speaks Arabic and is a very engaging lecturer. Given the way the curriculum evolved with the events of Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, it gave some contemporary material and context that really brought the course to life."
