RUSSIAN ROOTS: In at least one
website, apparently derived from the Amburger
Projekt Abfrage Namen, one can find references to the Nolcini name
in Russian: Dmitrij Dmitrievic Nolcini, Dmitrij Palovic Nolcini, Pavel
Ivanovic Nolcini, and Giovanni (Ivan Karlov) Nolcini. Since Peter
Charles, the founder of the American branch was born in Moscow, it is clear
that the Nolcini family name, which is a rare one in Italy today, is not
entirely unknown in Russia.
UPDATE: Martha Boyd Nolcini, born on February 20, 1908,
died on May 23, 2001, and was buried in Winchester, Kentucky.
