Teresa
(McGoldrick) Buttler '85
I am an '85
graduate of Holy Cross, with a B.A. in Spanish. I spent my junior year in
Salamanca, at the Universidad de Salamanca, through a program with Georgetown
and had an absolutely fabulous experience. Currently, I am the translator and
interpreter for our local school district and am pursuing a graduate
certificate in Translation Studies at Denver University. As a Spanish major at
H.C. in the 80's; one much more interested in the linguistic side of language
than the literature, I was always unclear as to what, exactly, I would be able
to do with my degree-since I was certain I did not want to teach! I'd like to
encourage undergraduate students to keep traveling and to keep studying
language. The possibilities and advantages are unimaginable.
