twenty four visual art pieces included in the Painting Borges: Art
Interpreting Literature exhibit displayed at Holy Cross' Cantor Art Gallery
from January 31 - March 21, 2012. The paintings, drawings, etchings and mixed
media works created by sixteen Cuban and Argentinian artists for this
collection respond to, challenge, or were inspired by renowned Latin American
writer Jorge Luis Borges's short stories. Luis Cruz Azaceta's La casa de
Asterión speaks to the complex and multiple interpretations that
arise from the interplay between visual art and the written word.
