Lesson Eleven:  Ramayana, day 2 

Do Now:         Create a web indicating the qualities you believe Indian people possess.    .

Aim:                  Read a comic strip adaptation of the Ramayana and answer 4 questions
                          to determine ways the Ramayana may help us define the Indian people. 

                            Steps: 
                            Review Do Now
                            Read comic strip (pages 1, 2, 3)
                            Questions:

                           1) What is the author's purpose or lesson in this comic?
                           2) How does the new information (from the comic) confirm 
                               or alter our definition?
                           3) What patterns do we see emerging?
                           4) What values and beliefs do we find are important to the Indian 
                                people?
HW:                Answer the following questions:

                        1) What values and beliefs do I share with the Indian people?
                        2) How are my ideas the same as those I found in the story? 
                        3) How are they different?
                        4) What did I find in today's reading that I would like to investigate further?
