Do Now:             Read the handout and give one example for each of the terms.

Aim:                    Locate the presence of the natural boundaries in the Himalayan region and 
                            interpret their significance. 

                            Steps:

                            What natural boundaries must be considered when focusing on the Himalaya?

Rivers
Mountains
Altitude
       What  is the significance of each of these on the development of this 
       region (i.e., on population size, crops, animals, housing, religious 
       practice, etc.) ?

       Bishop


HW:                    What natural boundaries are present within the United States?  How do they
