Lesson One: Mapping

Do Now:             Label the handout* showing each of the seven continents.

Aim:                    Produce a map of the Himalayan region.

                            Steps: 
                            Review Do Now
                            Handout blank maps of the Himalaya**
                            Review resource materials (markers, pencils, maps, etc.)

                            Features to include on map:

      • Countries and cities
      • Major rivers
      • Tibetan plateau
      • Greater Himalayan
      • Elevation
HW:  List ten questions that can be answered by using the maps.
