The Himalayan Mountain Range
Purpose: For students to understand the mountain range which dominates this region.
Materials: The five themes of geography mastersheet, the five themes of geography in terms of the Himalayan Mountains, atlas and/or textbook
Procedure: For this lesson students will research the Himalayan Mountains in relation to the five themes of geography. For this lesson to be successful it is crucial that students already have an understanding of the five themes of geography.
The students will fill in information about the Himalayan Mountains and categorize their information into the five themes of geography.
