An outreach center that includes training workshops on Asia, a summer
workshop on China for secondary school teachers, participation in teacher-training

Art Museum
This museum, along with the Seattle Asian Art Museum, is a joint center
that offers teacher programs, including a lending library for educators
in the Seattle Library. Museums Online Teacher Resource Center contains
online lesson plans, activities and web links for a variety of art topics.

The National Consortium for Teaching about Asia (NCTA)
Funded by the Freeman Foundation, this initiative provides incredible
learning opportunities, often accompanied by stipends, free materials,
and future possibilities for travel. A really great resource.

This organization conducts institutes and workshops and has many wonderfully
rich curriculum materials on loan free of charge.

This museum publishes materials for teachers and offers tours and programs.
Teachers can also acquire hands-on teaching kits and videos. Materials
can be purchased or loaned and can be sent anywhere in the U.S..

Outreach
Asia
This group has materials, including feature films and documentaries, available

Tibet Collection
This site provides low-cost items to purchase for materials on the
culture of Tibet. It also includes information about the dZi. dZi is a
founding member of the Fair Trade Federation, now comprising more than
120 businesses and organizations. Formed in 1994, FTF is an association
of fair traders dedicated to providing fair wages, safe and healthy working
conditions and increased employment opportunities to low income farmers
and artisans worldwide.
