Porphyry Buries the Body of the Empress by Moonlight.

The 'prince of knights' stands in an open grave, wielding a shovel, above him the line of a hill and the sky over it, with the moon and some stars; in the foreground the headless corpse of the Empress; on either side, a conventionalized tree.
