PROF. HELEN M. WHALL

ENGLISH DEPARTMENT

Helen Whall graduated from Emmanuel College, Boston, in 1971 and completed her Ph.D. in English Literature at Yale University in 1976. She has been teaching at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts ever since. Professor Whall has taught numerous courses in Shakespeare, in Renaissance Drama, and in the relation of law to drama. She has published on these and other subjects both in scholarly journals and the popular press. Helen lectures extensively throughout the New England Library System and has also written numerous program notes for the Trinity Repertory Theater in Providence, Rhode Island. She lives with her husband John in Worcester. Her hobbies range from ballroom dancing and detective fiction to gardening and snow globe restoration.
