A Message from Pam Ahearn

Senior Associate Director, Center for Career Development

Internships are critically important for students at Holy Cross. This past summer, 43 Holy Cross students received stipends through the Leadership Council of New York and interned in various industries and functional areas, attaining much-needed experience and exposure.

Through internships, students immerse themselves in the work world and “test drive” an industry of interest, while networking with professionals and exploring the cultures of specific industries. All of these things help students develop career readiness and make them more marketable to prospective employers.

One of last year’s interns reports, “I received a great education in finance and investment banking, was granted inside knowledge into a fascinating industry, and met first-class professionals. This has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my college career.”

Holy Cross teaches students to think critically and creatively, to communicate clearly, to adapt and solve complex problems. We are confident that they are well prepared for the world they will enter. Thank you for partnering with us to create these invaluable opportunities for our students.
