Mr. Roger M.De Silva - Introduction to Buddhism

Welcome!  This web site is still in process.  It is not complete by any means.  I will be working on it for some time, so check in from time to time to see what has been added.

This web site has been created with both the student and teacher in mind.  If you are a student in grades 9 through 12, studying Geography, World History, World Literature or World Religions, or you are just curious about Buddhism, you may find this to be a helpful web site.  If you are a teacher of any of these subjects, needing more information and a few ideas about teaching Buddhism, this may be helpful to you.   What I am offering is some basic information as well as sources that will give you more information.

As I mentioned above, this is a work in progress.  It will never be the definitive web site on Buddhism.  You will be able to offer your observations about the site or make recommendations as to other helpful links, texts, videos, etc. that you think would benefit others.  Feel free to email your ideas to me.

To begin, look below at the links.  Select one of the links and browse around to find your way around the web site.  Enjoy!

Suggestions and kind comments will be appreciated.  http://www.desilva@ndhs.org
