Flag of the Week :

Objective::

To investigate the rich symbolism present in most regional and national flags, reflecting the culture and history of the people involved.

Program:

Each week a different flag will be hung in the classroom representing peoples or nations in the world. During this unit, the flags for the nations that we will be studying will be posted on this page. 

Task:

Twice each semester, each student must identify the "flag of the week." Investigate the symbolism contained in the flag: symbols? colors? historical significance? history of the flag design?
