MAKE A COMIC BOOK
(Buddhism)

In several eastern traditions, comic books are used to explore many important religious concepts. In Buddhism, the tales of the Buddha's former lives are often the subject of these comics. These stories, called the Jataka Tales, have been used to teach the principles of Buddhism from its youngest participants to its oldest adherents. The Jataka Tales' multi-leveled approach allow Buddhists to continue to deepen their understanding of their faith from an enjoyable story in their youth to greater spiritual realizations as they mature.
You have an opportunity to depict one of the Jataka Tales in a comic book fashion.
Please follow the links below to find a Jataka Tale and to see the examples of religious comic books.

REQUIREMENTS
-Read a Jataka Tale (include copy with finished work)
-Depict tale in comic book form (must be at least 20 panels)
-include description of religious ideas/concepts found in tale (on separate sheet)

TOTAL: 50 points
