Modern Tibet

This web page is to be used in conjunction with a high school course on world history. Students need to note that the subject of Tibet is often a contentious one. There are two main vocal groups associated with Tibet: those that support the Chinese "liberation" of Tibet; and those that support the Tibetan exiles living in India following the Chinese "invasion" of Tibet. This website will attempt to provide many sources so that students can get a sense of the geography, people, and culture of Tibet.
