The study of Himalayan Region allows the opportunity to delve into content areas such as the arts, literature, sciences and Religion to help students better understand the complexities of how, what and why history has taken the course it has. The lessons created will refer to several sources that will allow a variety of activities to be used for secondary level world history classes.

The wealth of information acquired during the institute is due to the dedicated efforts of Professor Todd Lewis of Holy Cross College and Professor Leonard van der Kuijp of Harvard University. The organized list of brilliant scholars has helped fill in the intial framework I had and most importantly clarified many misconceptions through Orientalism, shared by many . Living in an interconnected world, It is imperative we prepare our students with accurate information about the culture of others. In doing so, we in prepare them in becoming productive and responsible citizens of the 21st century.
