I am grateful to Professors Leonard van der Kuijp and Todd Lewis, co-directors of this Institute, and to the National Endowment for the Humanities for offering the scholarship behind our work. I also want to acknowledge the extensive list of experts that amplified the Institute. From experiencing a magnificent monastery high in the Catskills, to feasting like Newaris low on the floor, the Institute experience at Holy Cross heightened my awareness as an educator and an individual to Himalayan proportions. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with my students and the world.
