The reliquary with the image of St. Paul is typical of its time.  The saint is recognizable by his representation as a balding patriarch.  Two containers are behind him. One is a crystal cylinder and the other a bronze box. The box is embellished with enamel decoration of non-figural designs. (Viollet-le-Duc, Mobilier 1:223) back to "worship"
