To "CULT OF SAINTS AND THEIR RELICS"

The illustrations from these two encyclopedias by the preeminent French medievalist, preservationist, and architect, Viollet-le-Duc are generic images that relate to all of medieval Europe.  Given the alteration of churches over time, very few contemporary even suggest their medieval condition.  Thus these reconstruction and details of objects are presented to enable a viewer to approximate what was Kempe's worship context.
