The Ramayana, An Enduring Tradition

Finally Ravana is defeated. Rama, Laksman, and Sita are together again. However, Rama says that he is not sure he wants to take back Sita as his wife. He says that she has been living in the home of another man and she may not be pure. Sita swears to her purity, but Rama says that she has to prove it.
