No sooner than he left her to get the deer he realized that the deer was one of the evil forces and he went after it with is bow and arrow. Laksman went to help him. Sita was left alone, and an old beggar came by asking for alms. Sita said no at first, then agreed to give him something to eat. When she brought the food out, he changed into Ravana, the evil king of Lanka.
