Seminar: Ethnographic Field Methods

Conference Presentation

At the end of the semester, all students will present the results of their ethnographic projects at the Holy Cross Academic Conference. Details are as follows:

Date: Wednesday, April 25

Time: 1-4:15

Where: Hogan

What: Oral presentation. In a 10-minute presentation, you should clearly outline your research topic, methods, and preliminary results. Be sure to discuss the contribution your research makes to anthropological debates on your topic by briefly describing other work in this area.

Audience: The audience will be mixed: Holy Cross professors, administrators, students, and parents. Be prepared to answer questions about the details of how you conducted your research and the arguments you are making based upon them.

Audio-Visual equipment: Powerpoint will be available. You may also use your own presentation device, but be sure to have a cable to connect it to a projector and a copy of your presentation on a USB and/or backed up to google drive.
