Novice High to Intermediate low level of proficiency

Enduring Understanding: Competitive sports athletes are committed to training
and are willing to persevere. Competitive sports athletes are committed to

Essential Questions:

• How long (how many hours a day/how many years) have the competitive sports athletes trained before they can reach the professional level?
• What characteristics/traits do competitive athletes need to be successful?
• How can one be inspired/motivated by successful athletes to set personal goals ?
